Sleepless Nights

Currently Listening
No Need to Argue
By The Cranberries
see related

Lately I have had a really hard time getting to sleep because my mind is racing with all of the things I have to do for work. Thus the late night post.

Do you ever get to that point where you have been trying so hard to get to sleep, and you can finally feel yourself drifting off, and you start getting anxious because you really hope you will get to sleep but you start worrying that it's just too good to be true? And then, you are wide awake once again. Hehe. So sad.

When I was in junior high, I used to listen to the Cranberries every night to help me fall asleep. It worked pretty well back then. Maybe it will work tonight...

Dude, I haven't been able to fall asleep at all recently either. I know what you are talking about. I used to be able to read myself to sleep, but instead I have just read a lot of books. Try Su Doku or something...or the Cranberries.

I used to use (Dr. recommended) Benadryl when this would happen to me! =)

OMG, no joke I've also been having a difficult time trying to fall asleep lately.  It's been going on for about a week now and I have definitely experienced that point where you're almost asleep after trying so hard and then become wide awake, it's so annoying!  I haven't figured a way to cure this sleeping problem of mine other than watching TV till 1-2am in the morning and even then I'm forced to shut my eyes and hope that I fall asleep.  I blame my body being confused that it's not in a hotel bed in the middle of the work week =P.

Back when I was addicted to painkillers I'd double drop and just turn catatonic. No joke. So if you can get your hands on some opiates you'll be fine and dandy.
